Set up a Mobile phone to receive district email
Question
How can I set my Blackberry to receive my district email? What About my IPhone?
Answer
Blackberry:
On your Blackberry device, there is an option to create an additional email address. Go through the process to do this. You need to choose Work email. You will be asked to provide an email server name or address. This is what you will need: https://a5do-exch07.anderson5.net. You will also need to provide your district email username and password at some point.
IPhone:
NOTE: In order to set up your district email: From all the tests we have done, initially, you must be on Anderson School District 5's wireless network, in order to sync up with District 5 email. Currently A5 Wireless is available at the District Office as well as Southwood, Nevitt Forrest, Varennes, and Homeland Park.
NOTE: you must use the "A5-Wireless" connection. The password is available from the Technology department along with your site computer facilitator.
On your phone: Open "Settings" app. then touch "Mail,Contacts,Calendars". then open "Add Account....".
Choose "Microsoft Exchange"
As the fields become available, Enter:
Email field: username (example: " johndoe" or "johndoe@anderson5.net").
Server field: a5do-exch07.anderson5.net
Domain: acsd5.local or (acsd5_nt)
Username: username (example: "johndoe")
Password: your Email or Active Directory password.
Make sure SSL is set to "ON"
Once you have been verified while attached to our wireless, email will now push automatically when you are off the district wireless.
We have not been successfull connecting to District 5 exchange while not logged onto our wireless.
If there are questions, pls contact your computer facilitator or email support through our helpdesk.
